Hydropower to Lift a Load (SBD-5250-KIT)

Earth is an amazing planet. It has everything that we need: food, shelter, and water. Sure, we need water to drink, but have you thought about using water to create energy? Moving water has a lot of energy and all we need to do is to harness it.
With this energy science fair project, you will demonstrate the power of water by converting the kinetic energy in moving water to mechanical energy, which will lift a small weight. We’ve done the hard part of the project setup for you – drilling the holes in the bucket and the pie plate and finding the perfect nylon spacer to work with the 5/16” dowel. You get to do the fun part – exploring how to use the power of moving water!
This kit follows the procedures from the Science Buddies energy project
Put Your Water to Work: Using Hydropower to Lift a Load.
Kits contain tested materials to ensure that you have what you need to successfully complete your science project, have fun, and learn some science along the way!
10% of proceeds go to support Science Buddies!
