This biochemistry kit investigates how temperature affects the rate at which enzymatic reactions occur. First, you will make a catalase enzyme solution from a potato you have at home. Then you will test the effect of temperature on enzyme activity. In this kit we’ve gathered all the critical lab ware – scales, thermometers and graduated cylinders – required to make this project a success.

Ziplock bag, 1 gallon
Weigh dish, large
Graduated cylinder, 100 mL
Jar, glass with lid, 16 oz
Jar, plastic with lid, 4 oz
You will also need:
Small insulated ice bucket
Hammer or wooden mallet
Pot for heating water on stovetop
