The longer you steep a tea bag in hot water, the stronger the tea will be. But how does the strength of the tea change with longer brewing time? This kit contains all the materials you need to build a simple electronic device to measure the strength of tea (based on the Science Buddies project idea  "How Do You Take Your Tea? Make a Simple Electronic Device to Measure the Strength of Tea." Using a photoresistor, your device will determine how strong the tea is by measuring the amount of light the tea absorbs. Once you understand how this device works, you can continue your exploration by using the device to measure the strength of coffee. Become the resident brewing expert by developing a formula for the best coffee or tea in your house!

Kits contain tested materials to ensure that you have what you need to successfully complete your science project, have fun, and learn some science along the way!
