How Do Roots Grow When the Direction of Gravity Changes? (SBD-5237-KIT)

Price:   $70.00

You might not know it, but plants are able to sense their environment and respond appropriately. One of the key parameters that every plant must respond to is the direction of gravity: stems go up and roots go down.

This plant biology science kit includes 18 clear cases so you can watch the roots of some radish seeds grow. Rotate some cases while keeping others the same and see how the plants respond. Do the roots grow in a new direction if the case is rotated? We’ve included a special 360º protractor to make it easy to measure any change in direction. Your science teacher will love the exact angle measurements!

This kit follows the procedures from the Science Buddies plant biology project How Do Roots Grow When the Direction of Gravity Changes?

Kits contain tested materials to ensure that you have what you need to successfully complete your science project, have fun, and learn some science along the way!

10% of proceeds go to support Science Buddies!
