There are many different types of bridges, from simple plank bridges spanning a small stream to elegant suspension bridges supported by tall towers and soaring cables. Have you ever wondered about how much weight the different types of bridges can support? This kit lets you investigate which type of bridge has the greatest weight bearing capacity, based on the Science Buddies project "The Effect of Bridge Design on Weight Bearing Capacity." The kit contains all the materials you need to build a variety of bridges and then test them to see how much weight each design can hold. The spring scales included with this kit make it easy to precisely measure the amount of weight applied to each bridge design.
